When to Order Custom Christmas Gifts So They Arrive in Time (2026)

Personalized gifts are made after you order, so timing matters. Here are this year's recommended order-by dates by region — and exactly how we worked them out.

Personalized gifts have one catch: they don't exist until you order them. Every shirt, ornament and stocking on our site is made after checkout, with your names and details — so the question isn't just how fast is shipping, it's how long does the whole thing take.

Here is our recommended schedule for Christmas 2026, and how we worked it out.

Recommended order-by dates

To give standard shipping enough time to arrive before Christmas, we recommend ordering by:

Based on our 1–2 business day production time plus standard carrier estimates. Estimates, not guarantees — December is our busiest month, so earlier is always safer.

The earliest date — December 11 — is the one to remember if you're sending gifts to several places around the country.

How we calculate the dates

Every order goes through two stages.

1. Production — usually 1–2 business days. Your item is prepared, printed or embroidered, checked and packed at our studio in Stafford, Texas. During December this can occasionally take a little longer, which is why our dates include a buffer.

2. Shipping — 2 to 6 business days, depending on where you live. Once your package is with the carrier, delivery time depends on distance:

What is the last day to order custom Christmas gifts in 2026?

For standard delivery anywhere in the contiguous US, we recommend ordering by December 11. Addresses in Texas and nearby states can order until Wed, Dec 16. These are estimates, not guarantees.

Why do personalized gifts need more time than regular gifts?

Nothing is pre-made. Your item is printed or embroidered after you order it, which usually takes 1–2 business days, and then it ships. That production step is what makes it personal — and why it needs a head start.

What should I do if I miss the order-by date?

Order anyway and give a “coming soon” gift: print or screenshot the design preview from the customizer and put it in a card. The real gift arrives a few days later, and the preview makes a fun surprise on the day.
