Choosing text for embroidery

Embroidery reads best when it's short and simple:

• Keep lines short. The main line on the custom hoodie takes up to 15 characters, with a second line of up to 17.
• Pick a curve. Curved lettering suits a name over a small design; straight lettering suits a word or a logo line.
• Mind the contrast. Pick a garment color that lets fine stitching stand out. On the photo line-art design you choose the thread color too.
• For logos, send a clean file. Simple shapes with few colors stitch best at pocket size.
