Personalized Teacher Christmas Gifts They’ll Actually Use

By the end of their career, many teachers could open a small shop with the mugs they've received. That's not a reason to skip the gift — teachers genuinely appreciate being remembered — but it is a reason to choose something they'll reach for every single day.

The formula that works: practical + personal. An everyday object with their name on it.

Gifts teachers actually use

A tumbler with their name

Teachers talk for a living, and a big insulated tumbler that goes from the car to the classroom gets used daily. A name on it means it doesn't wander off in the staff room.

• Our personalized teacher tumbler is a 20 oz tumbler with a cheerful teacher design and their name.
• For a Christmas feel, the Christmas letters tumbler comes in eight colors with an initial and a name.
• The birth flower tumbler is a pretty option when you know the teacher's birth month.

A tote bag for everything they carry

Grading, lunches, craft supplies, library books — teachers carry a lot. A sturdy canvas tote with their name or initial is genuinely useful. See the Christmas initial tote, or the fully custom tote if you'd like your own text on the front and back.

A mug — if it's a good one

If you do go with a mug, make it personal. Our Christmas mug comes in 11 oz or 15 oz, in five colors, with the teacher's initial and name.

What to write

For teacher gifts, simple is best:

• Their name as students say it — "Mrs. Rodriguez" or "Ms. Kate" — not their first name, unless that's what the class uses.
